Early Intervention

More learning happens during the first 3 years of life than at any other time in our development.  Research has shown that if we provide focused intervention in these critical years we can address potential developmental delays early and so minimise the impact they have on the child’s wellbeing and further development.

Any signs that your baby is not managing the tasks that is typical for his/her age would suggest that he/she may benefit from providing enhanced learning opportunities during the family’s daily routines.

These may include:

  • Problems with self-regulation such as sleeping and/or feeding problems, uncontrollable crying, restlessness.
  • Slow to achieve movement milestones such as rolling over, sitting, crawling, walking
  • Difficulty with hand manipulation such as holding a bottle while drinking, grasping objects, and bringing their hands to their mouth.

We use a holistic approach, working with your family, your child, and others involved with his/her care. This ensures that the therapist gets the most accurate picture of what your child’s life, strengths, abilities, and challenges look like, so that together we can create a plan that offers the best chance for your child’s future success.

Early intervention programs are designed specifically for children from birth to three years.
